Modernous wants everyone to be able to use this site — including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, or reduced-motion settings.
Our standard
We build to WCAG 2.1 AA. Measures in place include semantic HTML landmarks, skip-to-content links, labeled forms, alt text on meaningful images, full keyboard operability (including the menu and chat), visible focus states, audited color contrast across every page, and support for prefers-reduced-motion.
Known limitations
Some destinations we link to — the live rental catalog (EZRentOut) and third-party galleries such as Houzz and Google — are outside our control and may not meet the same standard. The concierge chat produces AI-generated responses; formatting is kept simple for assistive technologies, and every answer can also be obtained by emailing us.
