Every staged room and styled shoot needs objects, and most rental inventory is filler — inoffensive pieces bought twelve at a time to survive handling. The Modernous Prop House was built the opposite way: piece by piece, over years, with an eye trained by interior design, staging, and photo styling.
The collection now runs to more than three thousand pieces — seating, tables, beds and bedding, rugs, art from small to sculptural, lighting, plants, and the one-of-a-kind props that defy category. Many pieces exist in the catalog exactly once. That is the point: a frame with a singular object in it reads as a place, not a set.
How it works
Everything rents by the week or the month, with pricing listed openly in the live catalog. Photographers, producers, stylists, and designers browse, build a pull, and pick up — or, for larger orders in Seattle and Bellevue, have the pieces delivered, set, and removed by our team.
And because the Prop House shares a collection with our staging practice, the inventory is constantly working: the same sculptural lamp might sell a listing one month and anchor an editorial shoot the next.
